Anna Maria has two masters: in international tourism at the University School of Physical Education and in international relations at Adam Mickiewicz University (both universities in Poznan, Poland). She has a doctorate at the University School of Physical Education. The title of the thesis was: "Physical activity of local communities in Poland and Norway - in the context of actions of the local government". Anna Maria also completed several courses in financial management and accounting, and project management.

She worked at Vestlandsforsking as a senior researcher since 2018, and as an EU advisor since 2023, with responsibility for providing research support in EU-funded research projects, as well as facilitating collaboration between research, the public sector and business.

In the past, Anna Maria has worked organizing and selling trips to Norway for Polish tourists, and has, among other things, worked at a museum and in the hotel industry.

The research interests are outdoor life, culture and tourism, international tourism and physical activity, quantitative research and project management.
