Research on sustainable tourism has grown substantially in the last three decades. While most attention has been given to the role of general tourism and nature-based tourism to generate more sustainable tourism solutions, culture-based tourism has received less attention. This paper contributes to filling this void by demonstrating how culture-based activities might cause more sustainable intention behavior among local citizens and tourists.
