The chapter discusses the destination Stadlandet through concepts of over-tourism and social sustainability. The aim is to investigate social sustainability as quality of inhabitants' life and what is needed to achieve it. Access to nature through the Right of Public Access is important in Norwegian tourism, but in 2020 it was restricted in Stadlandet due to increased tourist traffic and strain on nature. Residents demand better facilitation for tourism as a long-term solution.
