Cheshta works as a Senior Researcher with the Technology & Society group at Vestlandsforsking. She holds a PhD in Social Science from the National Institute of Advanced Studies/Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. Cheshta's work focuses on unpacking socio-technical systems in the contemporary from various perspectives, traversing fields such as feminist (techno) science studies, science and technology studies, media studies, and work/labour studies. Her analytical toolkit includes a range of approaches such as auto/ethnography of the contemporary, material-semiotic analysis, and speculative design.
