Cheshta Arora is a researcher, writer and ethnographer studying socio-technical systems in the contemporary. Cheshta holds a PhD in Social Science from the National Institute of Advanced Studies/Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. She has recently joined the Technology and Society group at the Vestlandforsking as a senior researcher.

Research interests: Critical New Media Studies, Social approaches to ML/AI, Content Moderation and mis-, dis-, mal- information, Critical Internet/Data/Information/Algorithm Studies, Blockchain, Media Studies, Science and Technology Studies, Urban Studies, Work/Labour, Feminist Theory/Feminist Techno-Science Studies, 20th Century French Philosophy, New Materialism, Object-Oriented Ontology.
