Future second homes

Architects, second home developers, wood products suppliers, construction advisors and researchers collaborate on projecting future second homes. The second homes will represent something new both in architecture, material use, energy use and value creation.

The second homes shall be planned in accordance with the principles of sustainable second home development, identified by researchers at Western Norway Research Institute.  The researchers will test if the principles work as tool in practical project development, if sharing economy might support a more sustainable practice and test if the projects approach lead to a more sustainable practice through life cycle analysis.
