Marit holds an MSc in mechanical engineering with specialization within product development from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. Throughout her studies she has worked on several projects focused on health, sports and welfare.

At Western Norway Research Institute Marit mostly works with health- and welfare technology.
