The aim of this project is to develop a participatory action-methods toolkit for climate change to allow for integration of mitigation and adaptation for societal transformation in cities. The project addresses strategies to overcome barriers to increasing civic engagement, and grass roots social participation, as well as innovative adaptation and mitigation design in applied research. The project will assist in generating resilient and integrated communities, capable of taking on new challenges related to the increased need of adaptation within cities to climate change. Thus, the project seeks to address what is often referred to the motivational gap to climate change transformation. To realize the project a co-designed workshop using serious gaming methods is proposed, where participants will explore applications of strategies and solutions.
