One of the research innovations of UNCHAIN is to suggest improvements on how to handle uncertainty in climate change adaptation decision-making. In this article, a new framework has been launched for how to make decisions about measures for climate adaptation locally even in situations of large uncertainties. The practical use of the framework is demonstrated on three previous flood events during the so-called October flood incident in Western Norway in 2014.
