Big data has emerged as an attractive concept in various industry sectors. This report presents the classification, sources and features of electric power Big Data (energy Big Data) in general, with special focus on the Sogn og Fjordane region. The current status of electric power Big Data is analysed, and challenges and opportunities are explored. This is a feasibility study for how we can identify and go on with interesting and useful data-driven research for the electric power industries and businesses.
