How to engage local expertise and role models in recruiting girls, especially for technology education? A preliminary project for the goal of making Sogn a technology centre.
The project will address two problems that are key to a sustainable innovation ecosystem: 1) the development of STEM and IT skills among the region’s youth, and 2) diversity in the next-generation workforce. It will develop a collaboration between the region's educational institutions and technology companies. It’s innovative in its emphasis on using the existing technology workforce as role models—"tech moms and tech dads”—to instil positive influence on the region’s youth.
