En inkluderende møteplass for dataspill

In this project, we focus on how young people with an immigrant background regulate video gaming through emerging trend public meeting places for video games, and how these meeting places can contribute to the prevention of problematic gaming habits and regulation of video gaming. We build on the knowledge base, network, and collaboration with support actors that the case study «young men without parents in Norway» has formed. More and more meeting places are being established and are often introduced as an inclusive place for gaming enthusiasts who lack leisure activities. This the project will map how meeting places are experienced by young people immigrant background. The project will make suggestions on how these meeting places can contribute with support and prevention of problematic gaming habits for young people with immigrant background whose need for support and regulation of gaming overseen.
