Zuzana holds a PhD. degree specialized in EU financing mechanism from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. Her dissertation thesis: EUs Management System of Public Finances of the European Union was successfully defended in July, 2010. Zuzana also holds European Masters in Health Economics and Management (M.Phil.) from University in Oslo, Norway and Bologna, Italy (2015). In her Master thesis she focused on the impact of EU patient mobility rules on health systems in Germany and Norway. In addition, she is Master in Management, 2005 (Title of the thesis: Use of the Internet in Marketing Communication) and Bachelor in Sociology & Human Resources Development, 2001 (Title of the thesis: Sexism and Sexual Harassment in organization) from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.
Zuzana’s practical EU experience is linked to her professional career between 2005 and 2014 when she was working for the European Commission in Brussels and other EU Agencies (EMSA in Lisbon, GSA in Brussels and the EU representation to Cairo, Egypt). Her main tasks were financial management of EU programs / projects that included public tenders, grants, contract management and audit. In addition, she was in charge of financial reports and analysis preparation. She coordinated EU projects financed from the general EU budget but also from the EU’s 6th and 7th Framework Program for Research and Technological Development, with a view to ensure regular and legal use of European public finances.
