Bjørn Christian Weinbach was appointed as a researcher in August 2022. He has a BE in Computer Science from NTNU in Gjøvik and a M.Sc in Computer Science - Data Science from the University of Stavanger. His area of ​​interest is machine learning and applied statistics. His master's thesis was about how one can evaluate machine learning models to uncover injustice and whether that process can be automated. This thesis found that machine learning models needs to be interpretable if one is to assess the fairness. During his studies, he has worked with programming, scientific programming, statistics, statistical models, machine learning, deep learning, data mining and image analysis.

Bjørn Christian is concerned with how new technology should be used in humanising ways and how the public is an important data source and that the public should be aware of this.
