1st CIRCLE seminar, Fjærland Førde, Norway, 29th-30th of September
Dato:
15.11.2006
Project
The aim of this project “Climate change, community response and multilevel governance” (CIRCLE) is to build a Nordic network for research on local climate adaptation and mitigation in the context of multilevel governance. By organizing a series of workshops for researchers and stakeholders, it will create a foundation for making creative links among the increasing number of ongoing research projects on climate adaptation.
The expected output of the project is a network that will increase the value of ongoing research projects by sharing of methods and results. Moreover, we will produce a review article of climate adaptation in the participating countries and develop a common project application for a full scala comparative project.
The project is led by Stockholm Environmental Institute. Other partners are Department of Social and Economic Geography at the University of Umeå (Sweden), Artic Centre at the University of Lapland (Finland), CICERO (Norway) and Vestlandsforsking (Norway).
