TG4NP intends to exploit the new potential of existing mobile networks and GPS technology by offering tourists information about cultural, touristic and natural attractions in a user-friendly way through today’s advanced mobile phones. TG4NP will provide a range of solutions to serve information directly to the traveller’s mobile phone at the right time, based on the traveller’s location. Location-based and personalised services are at the core of TG4NP; its promise is to implement and provide tourism-related value added mobile services across mobile and fixed networks and to develop design solutions that deliver performance on both 3G and robust, scalable and accessible wireless services.
