The project aims to develop new perspectives and methods for climate aware land-use and transport planning in rural areas. Policy development in this field has so far focussed on cities, leaving a need for exploring how rural districts and small settlements may contribute to climate mitigation and adaptation. This will be done by following and facilitating the process of revising the municipal sector plan for Oppstryn in the municipality of Stryn.
