My impressions about Vestlandsforsking:

VF is the place where innovative thinking is the glue that binds people together. Work culture in the VF is a very friendly and stimulating. This is induced on the one hand by the superior research facilities, which allows an enjoyable research work, and on the other hand, by all the colleagues, who are supporting me every time in a very genial way.

From these people I am also learning several things that make daily life more comfortable like shopping possibilities, touristic sites and the larger and smaller events in and around Sogndal.

Besides, VF’s interdisciplinary research community provides me a lot of new ideas by opening the own horizon for other points of view not only for my research work.  I find that VF offers excellent opportunity for personal and professional development. People here appreciate what others are doing. I feel that team-spirit is a highly respected value in VF.

Let the spirit of VF be ever alive.

My impression of Vestandsforsking  is of a small research institution that has secured its place as a leading regional research institution. Although parochial, its outlook and scope is national and international and although small, it is taking risks and is mindful of the significance of continued self-reinvention to be relevant and indispensable in the face of a changing world and needs. I think these are strong signs of wellbeing, growth and future sustainability for an establishment of its nature.

The business nature of the institute makes work challenging and sometimes stressful. However, I have friendly, funny and supportive workmates who can also be quite critical and engaging.  I like that - it is good too for my own personal and professional growth.

I am happy to be a part of VF and I wish us all a very Happy Anniversary and many years of fulfillment and prosperity.
