The Information Society and Spatial Development
This document is prepared in order to facilitate a better understanding of different concepts of information society in a context of spatial development a draft version of the scoping study was prepared for a seminar on the topic “The Information Society and Spatial Development” held in Stavanger on January 23rd and 24th 2003.
The draft scoping study formed a basis for the seminar discussions. An aim was to identify what potential Interreg IIIB projects within the field of information society could deal with to best contribute to coherent spatial development in the regions around the North Sea. The practical purpose of the scoping study is thus to guide project developers as regards the information society issues of the North Sea Programme.
