The assignment is an activation of the option in the Sogn Council's tolerance limit analysis and feasibility study for tourism in Sogn. In dialogue with Luster Municipality, the additional assignment will include a citizen survey in the municipality specifically related to cruise traffic to and from Skjolden.

Based on findings in the citizen survey, we will look more closely at value creation related to cruise traffic, a work that will include obtaining data from a selection of attractions and other heavily visited destination points for cruise tourists. The subcontractor SPOR will conduct an independent assessment of challenges related to wild reindeer and tourism.

The analyses carried out in the assignment will give the municipality better insight into what barriers and room for action lie in capacity, infrastructure and traffic load for cruise traffic in the municipality.
