Bekkjarvik is a coastal village with a rich history and cultural heritage, known for its maritime tradition and natural beauty. Bekkjarvik Experience will further develop Bekkjarvik as a year-round destination that promotes residential life, preserves cultural heritage, and balances growth with environmental and social considerations. In order to solve the challenges, the project partners will carry out a visioning exercise, map and analyse relevant knowledge, identify priority development areas that the destination should focus on in the future, and prepare a strategy for further research and development work. In this way, the project can contribute to an increased influx of visitors throughout the year, sustainable destination development, strengthened local identity and increased residential life, economic growth and jobs. The project is a collaboration between Bekkjarvik Experience and Vestlandsforsking.
