Available job: Group Leader

The Centre for Sustainable Tourism and Geotourism (CSTG) in Sogndal, Norway, invites applications for the post of Group Leader.

The Group Leader will help to develop the CSTG into Norway’s leading research institute in the field of sustainable- and geotourism, contribute to the research activity of the Centre, have responsibility for the administrative coordination of research, and initiate & develop contacts with regional and national tourism stakeholders, -organizations, and -partners. You will work in close cooperation with the research coordinator at CSTG (Stefan Gössling) as well as the Western Norway Research Institute’s director (Agnes Landstad).

The post is a 3-year engagement financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry, to develop the knowledge required to implement Norway’s new national tourism strategy. After the engagement period, continued employment is negotiable. The applicant should have research experience (preferably a PhD) in the field of tourism/sustainable tourism.
