Profile

Rajendra holds Masters in applied mathematics and doctorate in computer science. His research and teaching  experience includes over 22 years in the Academia spanning different universities in Asia, Europe and North America.

Rajendra received prestigious BOYSCASTS Young Scientist award of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, in 1997. He was UNESCO-TWAS Associate Member from 1998-2001. He is an Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Computer Science & Applications and also associate editor of International Journal of Metadata, Semantics and Ontologies. He is involved as the scientific committee member of several international conferences in semantic technologies, big data, and web technologies. He also serves the editorial board of 7 international journals in computer science. He is an expert evaluator on the framework programmes of the European Commission.

Rajendra has authored/co-authored 13 books, more than 90 peer-reviewed research papers and edited  volumes of international conferences in Web Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence & Applications of Computer Algebra. His current research include knowledge representation and reasoning,  information mining, knowledge discovery in big data, and semantic technologies with key applications in emergency management, tourism and oil industry. He has extensive experience in managing research and development projects funded by both industry and funding agencies, such as the EU Framework Programs.
