The third EuroIA conference was held in Barcelona 21. - 22. of September with ca. 150 attendants from many European countries. EuroIA is the European answer to the better known IA Summit in USA - the most important conference for information architecture and information architects.

Vestlandsforsking was represented and presented challenges in portal development and semantic structures. Researcher Svein Ølnes and system developer Nils Arne Hove presented the challenges to an audience showing great interest and we had a good discussion with many questions after the presentation.

Our presentation was build on the experiences from developing an information architecture for the municpality Førde and neighbouring municipalities. Interestingly the other Norwegian presentation by senior information architect Are Halland in Netlife Research also based his presentation on the experiences from the Førde portal. We cooperated with Netlife Research in this project.
