International Conference on Web Intelligence, Mining and Semantics (WIMS’11)

The International Conference on Web Intelligence, Mining and Semantics (WIMS'11) will be organised under the auspices of Vestlandsforsking in May 25 - 27, 2011. The conference will provide an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Web intelligence, Web mining and Web semantics.

The purpose of the WIMS'11 is:

  • To provide a forum for established researchers and practitioners to present past and current research contributing to the state-of-the-art of Web technology research and applications
  • To give doctoral students an opportunity to present their research to a friendly and knowledgeable audience and receive valuable feedback
  • To provide an informal social event where Web technology researchers and practitioners can meet

WIMS'11 is intended to foster the dissemination of state-of-the-art research in the area of Web intelligence, Web mining, Web semantics and the fundamental interaction between them.

Authors are invited to submit full papers and tutorial/demonstration proposals on all related areas. Papers/tutorials exploring new directions or areas will receive a thorough and encouraging review. Areas of interest include, but not limited to:

  • Semantic-driven information retrieval
  • Semantic agent systems
  • Semantic data search
  • Interaction paradigms for semantic search
  • Evaluation of semantic search
  • User interfaces
  • Web mining
  • Ubiquitous computing
  • Semantic deep Web and intelligent e-Technology

The conference proceedings will be published by Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Selected papers from WIMS'11, after further revisions, will be published in special issues of reputed journals.
