Research Manager Ivar Petter Grøtte ved Vestlandsforsking appointed secretary for EEA Committee

A research based committee was appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thursday 7th of Januar. The committee's mandate is to evaluate all sides of the EEA Agreement and other agreements between Norway and EU and look at the over all effects on the Norwegian society. Research Manager Ivar Petter Grøtte from Vestlandsforsking will be one of three secretaries for the committee in its two year long work.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre, appointed a public committee to make a broad evaluation of the EEA Agreement and other agreements with EU and its over all consequences for the Norwegian society. The committee will be lead by professor Fredrik Sejersted, Director of Centre for European Law at the University of Oslo. The composition of the committee and its mandate was presented by Støre at a press conferance 7th of January 2010.
