Five experts on tourism & climate change adaptation and mitigation were asked in January 2008 by UNEP, UNWTO, WMO and the University of Oxford to produce a report on the topic for capacity building, i.e. with the goal to help stakeholders all over the world to adjust their tourism planning as to consider climate change issues. The report was presented during a workshop with 25 stakeholders from all continents that was held in April 2008 at Oxford University.
