Geoffrey Gilpin holds a Diplom Engineer degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen, Germany, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering - Energy and Environmental Technology (2006). From 2006 - 2008, he was employed as a research fellow at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Department of Mathematical Sciences and Technology where his research focused on developing process technology in the field of microwave pyrolysis for the production of second generation bio-fuels. Additionally, Geoffrey is board member of the student chapter of the International Society for Industrial Ecology.
Geoffrey has been employed as a research fellow at the Western Norwegian Research Institute since 2008. His primary field of research focuses on life-cycle-analysis of second and third generation bio-fuels.
