Guttorm Flatabø graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2007 holding a bachelors degree in African studies, and is now on his last year of a master in Science and Technology Studies (STS) at the same university. It is however, his background from working with ICT as an independent consultant and at the broadband startup INO AS that prompted Vestlandsforsking to hire him. Guttorm also has experience from managing the regional tourist board Sognefjord reiseliv BA, and some experience as an active participator in the creation of the “nynorsk” version of Wikipedia (nn.wikipedia.org).
